Dr. Fraser is an Assistant Professor of Business at Mount Olive College and the founder of CompassPoint Strategic Advisors, a consulting firm focusing on assisting boards of directors and senior corporate management with issues of strategy, mergers and acquisitions, marketing, and brand equity. His consulting work has included clients involved in the telecom, aerospace, electronics, defense, industrial instruments, healthcare, and financial services industries. He previously spent eleven years with Lord Corporation, a $450 million privately held manufacturer of specialty chemicals and precision engineered vibration and motion control components, serving most recently as Manager of Corporate Planning. His previous positions at Lord included Manager of Corporate Acquisitions, Manager of Market and Technology Development, and Strategic Business Unit Manager within the company’s Mechanical Products Division.
Prior to joining Lord Corporation, Dr. Fraser spent ten years with Federal Mogul Corporation, a leading international automotive components company, where he held the positions of General Manager of Europe and Africa, Product Development Manager, and Product Line Manager. His earlier experience included assignments as the Retail Marketing Manager, Industrial Marketing Manager, and Transportation Planning Manager for the Parts and Service Division of Chrysler Corporation, as well as operations management assignments with Mobil Oil.
During his career, Dr. Fraser has served on the adjunct faculty of Lawrence Technological University, Oakland University, and Oakland Community College. He is the author of several sales, marketing, and distribution related articles, and was a contributing author of The Sales Manager’s Handbook, published by Dow-Jones Irwin. Dr. Fraser serves on the Board of Directors of the Association for Corporate Growth, and is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors, the Academy of Marketing Science, the New York Academy of Science, and the Association of Marketing Theory and Practice.
Dr. Fraser holds a BS degree from Eastern Michigan University, an MBA from Wayne State University, and a Doctorate in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University.
